Presentation

A unique observatory to learn about astronomy. Its assets: a quality of the sky far from light pollution and quality optical instruments to contemplate the magic of the stars.

Planète Mars Observatoire Hubert Reeves is a site for the discovery and practice of astronomy.

Located in the town of Mars, the site has many quality instruments for observing the sky. It is used regularly by amateur astronomers from the Mars Astronomy Club (CAM) and is occasionally open to the general public.

One of the specificities of this observatory is the excellent quality of the sky of Mars, far from the light pollution of the cities, it thus offers a sky conducive to the study of the stars. The Hubert Reeves observatory is also one of the few astronomical sites in France recognized and protected by a national decree aimed at preserving the darkness of the night sky.

The high quality of the observatory is based on its many tools: glasses, telescopes, solarscopes, etc. Finally, the dome houses a large telescope of professional quality, specialized in astrophotography and the study of the stars

When roaming, the Astromobile also spreads knowledge about the sky and the stars thanks to numerous educational tools such as the inflatable Planetarium.
