Presentation
One of Samuel Beckett's most iconic plays, written in 1952, Waiting for Godot retains all of its realism to this day in its human relationships. Jacques Osinski proves this with his staging and choice of actors.
On stage, a leafless tree. At its feet, a man: Estragon. Another man enters: Vladimir. They are waiting for Godot… They don't know him but they are waiting for him like a savior. No one knows exactly what this mysterious character is supposed to save them from, except perhaps, precisely, from the horrible wait. Carried by a formidable performance by actors including Denis Lavant and Jacques Bonnaffé, this play takes its full form in the power of words and silences. One of the most memorable theatrical evenings of the season.
