Exhibition - The Deûme, an industrious and tumultuous river

The river, as a driving force, but also because of the need to use a lot of water, has allowed the establishment of many businesses around Annonay: leather working, paper mills, etc.

But, with its floods, the Deûme can be destructive, as it was on October 17, 2024. It burst its banks, ravaged workshops, shops, and community facilities, transforming streets and squares into a muddy torrent. This exhibition allows you to relive these difficult times but also to better understand the phenomenon of flooding.
