Nestled on the heights of the village at an altitude of 550 m in the foothills of the Garagon, Cédric Berthet-Pilon is a market gardener, who offers healthy seasonal organic products. In total, around forty vegetables follow one another on his stalls according to the seasons.
Cédric Berthet-Pilon set up in 2021 as an organic producer with the ambition of making a comfortable living from it. With his partner Chloé Bouvarel, they bought an old building from 1688, which they spent a year restoring to make it their place of life 150 m from the 1,3 hectares of their cultivated land. His vegetables are appreciated and requested by the inhabitants.
Originally from the Voironnais region, from the socio-cultural animation and holiday center actors, he branched out at 35 and discovered organic market gardening with a producer from Condrieu. For four years.
He trained in the profession and learned to take care of the earth, to respect living things and to cultivate seasonal vegetables in a sustainable and responsible manner, in open fields or in greenhouses.
Cédric Berthet-Pilon's project consists of developing a production method that meets the expectations of residents, who want to buy tasty, short-circuit, labeled products that follow the seasons. Also, he took the steps and quickly obtained the organic label, allowing him to sell his products well on the markets.
It is present at two markets located nearby, on Tuesdays in Satillieu and on Thursdays in Saint-Vallier.
It establishes a relationship of trust based on Cardoon and cabbage products, seasonal vegetables. in a rotating manner. A process which consists of alternating botanical families during the succession of crops as well as the types of vegetables (leaves, fruits, roots, seasonal, healthy and tasty.
He has installed four climate greenhouses, but Cédric Berthet-Pilon is confident and gives his all to offer the best to his customers.
