The Versailles Woods

Starting from Lalouvesc, this pleasant loop is particularly suitable for families thanks to its reasonable distance, low elevation gain and the diversity of landscapes crossed.

Between open paths, passages through forest and beautiful panoramas over the upper Doux valley, the hike offers an ideal setting for a nature outing with children.

The route also allows you to discover the rich heritage of Lalouvesc , a major pilgrimage site dedicated to Saint Regis and Saint Thérèse Couderc.

Along the way, young and old alike will be able to cross the path of the Afars, those little elves who populate the tales of northern Ardèche, to discover the legend of the infinite rosary.

An accessible and varied walk, perfect for enjoying a moment of discovery and relaxation in the great outdoors.

Hike

The White Chirat

Certainly one of the most difficult hikes in the destination, this route appeals to experienced walkers due to its length and significant elevation gain.

Starting from Saint-Julien-Vocance, it crosses the superb forests of the Vocance, offering beautiful panoramas over the Cance valley and allowing you to discover the impressive Chirat Blanc. Between shaded paths, hamlets and streams, the route alternates between sustained climbs and long descents.

Long summer days are ideal for fully enjoying this hike, taking the time to admire the scenery and savor the coolness of the undergrowth. Passing by the crosses of Tramezières, Signolle, and Boiray punctuates the hike with iconic landmarks.

A demanding but varied loop, which rewards the effort with the richness of its landscapes and its immersion in the heart of preserved nature.

Mountain biking: Toissieu

Starting from the hamlet of Toissieu, this very beautiful mountain bike route overlooks the Cance valley and the Annonay basin, offering superb views all along the route.

Between forest tracks, ridge paths, sections through broom bushes, and stretches through undergrowth, the diverse landscapes make the ride particularly enjoyable. While the loop doesn't climb all the way to the Croix de Chirol, mountain bikers who aren't afraid of very technical sections can still enjoy this out-and-back ride and take in the exceptional panoramic views of the Alps, the Pilat massif, and the Ardèche mountains.

The route is primarily intended for experienced hikers accustomed to steep trails and technical sections. The sometimes challenging descents and narrow paths require good skill.

A varied and fun loop, ideal for mountain biking enthusiasts looking for beautiful scenery and thrills on the Ardèche trails.
