Cinema "The Foyer"

An old-fashioned cinema with sweets and ice creams and a varied and current program we can't resist! Cinema screenings open to all and previews.

The cinema in Lalouvesc is located on the ground floor of a building built to accommodate pilgrims, managed by the Jesuit Fathers. From the 1970s, several volunteers from Bourg-Argental got involved in Lalouvesc for the screenings, the maintenance of the equipment and the choice of films. The Foyer de Lalouvesc was in a way the child of the Foyer de Bourg-Argental. In 2008, the community of Jesuit Fathers proposed to the association to entrust it with the management of the cinema and an extraordinary general assembly ratified this choice.

Since then, it has worked, and even well, over the two summer months only, with a program made up of Arthouse films on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21 p.m., and family films and animated films, for all ages, on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at 21 p.m. This programming of very recent films, even of previews, makes it possible to create a place of animation well appreciated by the local population and the neighboring villages. Sweets and ice cream are on sale on site.
