The Don Quixote Room

The current wedding hall of the town hall of Satillieu is called Salle Don Quichotte because of the superb painted representations inspired by the eponymous work. A unique opportunity to say yes to the castle and in front of classified historical paintings.

This room was restored in 1968. The restoration of the painted canvases, carried out by Mr. Armand Fayein, was essential because they represent, with great charm, some of the most famous episodes in the life of Don Quixote by Cervantes.
The origin of the presence of the paintings in the castle of Satillieu remains partly mysterious but you will find out more by taking advantage of the guided tours offered every Tuesday in July and August.
