Vineyards and discoveries

Presentation

The still museum retraces the life of vintage distillers at the time of privileges. On 1400 m2 of exhibition, magnificent copper appliances, utensils and other tools are to be discovered.

In the heart of the Rhône Valley in Saint-Désirat in the Ardèche department, the Jean Gauthier Distillery and the Still Museum show the charm and tell the story of a vanished past, that of traveling distillers.

The Still Museum invites you to see how eau-de-vie, aperitifs, creams and liqueurs are made.
During your visit (individual or in group), discover the process of elaboration of eaux-de-vie, from the fruit to the bottle, on 1400m² of exhibition, magnificent copper devices from the four corners of France, as well as a collection of equipment, utensils and other tools, which constitute in 23 tables the memory of part of our past.
A video, a digital projection and a photo exhibition complete these scenes.
