The church dates from 1912 (1904-1912). It was previously located in Place de la Liberté, and has been since 584. It was destroyed to leave more space for the increasingly important market and to facilitate traffic.

Faced with the development of the city, the municipality decided in 1898 to transfer the church from the old square to the place des Forges, on the heights of the city. Another reason is put forward, that of the creation of a tramway between Annonay and Lalouvesc. Lalouvesc has become an increasingly popular place for both pilgrims and vacationers. The roads being difficult to pass, we want to use the rails, which then represent the fastest and most comfortable means of transport. The Place de la Liberté, in the axis of the rue de Tournon, is therefore the ideal site for the station. The construction of the new church initially required numerous demolitions in the streets of Ranchet, Reform and Butcheries. Nearly 17 dilapidated buildings were demolished from 1904. The first stone was laid on November 29, 1904, according to the plans of Mrs Rey and Allingry. For 2 years, the city lived to the rhythm of the construction site. On December 11, 1906, the law of separation between the Church and the State came into force and the site stopped for almost 5 years. The work having resumed in 1911, the inauguration will take place on July 28, 1912.
You can admire very beautiful wall paintings and a magnificent Cavaillé-Coll organ. There are paintings and statues that adorned the old parish church, then located Place de la Liberté, as well as two superb shells used as giant clams, brought back from India.
