Village located at the confluence of Nant and Malpertuis, Satillieu is home to a rich historical past that you will discover during guided tours. Many departures for hiking or cycling are marked out to enjoy the surrounding landscapes.

The historic heart of the village is surrounded by the remains of the ramparts, the town hall located in the 18th century castle houses two rooms classified as historical monuments: the "Don Quixote" room with its magnificent tapestries and the Marquise's bedroom.
The industrial past of the silk factories also marked the village, now disappeared the memories of the inhabitants around these activities was the subject of a collection and an exhibition (available at the tourist information office).
Gourmands will find local products in the village, in the food shops and restaurants as well as at our producers: cheeses, charcuterie... the weekly market gives pride of place to local food.
