Museum Overview
No need to go to the end of the world to experience a real change of scenery. Here, in the largest animal park in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, you will become explorers of wild land to discover more than 1200 animals over 80 ha!
On foot, by bus, car, or bush truck, the park offers every way to escape. From Madagascar to the polar regions, you'll encounter the most unusual species and pet our most familiar friends, like farm animals. Africa, North America, and Asian lands all come together at the Peaugres Safari Park.
In winter, from October to March, a magical trail, redesigned every year, takes you into a magical world populated with thousands of light sculptures representing animals or plants.
And to extend the experience, enjoy an unusual stay above bears, wolves, face to face with cheetahs or raccoons (new for 2026).
Numerous VIP events also allow you to experience unforgettable moments.

Sustainable tourism
The Peaugres Safari is the 3rd French animal park to become an LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) Refuge. A great recognition for all the concrete actions already carried out in favor of local fauna and flora: installation of nest boxes, banning of herbicides, reasoned mowing, rainwater recovery, creation of Gitaki just 10 years ago...

With its 80 hectares of unspoiled nature and the attention it pays to its animals, the Safari de Peaugres positions itself as a place to raise awareness of the living world. A modern animal park, its main missions are conservation, education and research.
New 2026
Wow Safari Peaugres offers a new immersive experience in the company of raccoons. Two lodges, one for 5 people and the other for 2, allow you to get up close and personal with these playful creatures. You can also take advantage of the Bush Truck to explore the park in an electric vehicle. Until July 31st, enjoy a special price of €20 for entry after 16 pm. It's the perfect way to experience the Safari as the temperatures start to drop. From May to the end of August, enjoy the "In the Footsteps of Extinct Giants" exhibition in the park.
