Presentation

Linking Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean Sea along the Rhône River for 815km, here is ViaRhôna. Over 181km it borders the Ardèche and alternates between the right bank and the left bank

A veritable Ariadne's thread, the ViaRhôna is a call to discover the very diversified heritage wealth that the civilizations that have succeeded one another along the Rhône have bequeathed to us.

Whether roaming or staying, we invite you to discover the historic towns of Tournon, La Voulte-sur-Rhône, Viviers, Bourg-Saint-Andéol, the character villages of Beauchastel, Rochemaure and Saint-Montan, the Romanesque gems of Vion and Cruas, the caves of Soyons. Without forgetting all these hillside vineyards that shape the Rhône valley with the evocative names of Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Cornas or Saint-Péray.

It will also be an opportunity to borrow exceptional works of art such as the first historic suspension bridges in the north of the Ardèche or the two Himalayan footbridges created for the ViaRhôna by reusing for that of Rochemaure the piles of the Old Bridge over a length of 280m.

In Ardèche, ViaRhôna is full of nature. It slaloms between canals, small streams, vineyards and orchards. A real backbone of gentle travel, the ViaRhôna allows other gentle paths to connect, thus irrigating the heart of our valleys. With the Voie Bleue, the Dolce Via, the gentle route of La Payre and very soon the Via Fluvia, there are so many renewed possibilities for discoveries and stays.

Everyone to your bikes!
