Entire route 14,5 km – cumulative positive elevation 122m, cumulative negative elevation 367m

DEPARTURE :

- At the Bénévis car park (municipality of Burdignes), above Bourg-Argental
- In Annonay, departure area at Annonay bus station (towards Super U)

From the Bénévis car park (Burdignes) to Annonay: asphalt surfacing and alternation between greenway and cycle route.

VIGILANCE! A few kilometers after leaving the Bénévis car park, bypassing the Tunnel de l'Homme involves a steep drop over 360m long (between 15 and 18% slope) which requires a certain vigilance both uphill and downhill.

Possibility to join this section from the city center of Bourg-Argental at the level of the place called “Dovezet” if you wish to avoid the steep slope. The first kilometers take the departmental road (D1082) where traffic can be heavy, then a less busy road (leave the departmental road towards the Astrée campsite) then continue on this small road (following the "Dovezet" signs) until to join the Via Fluvia.

This new section makes it possible to make the junction between the Loire and the Ardèche at St-Marcel-les-Annonay and to travel in time in the footsteps of famous inventors. Cross exceptional natural sites and discover the smoothness of the route and its green landscapes at every turn of the wheel!
