Presentation

Located in a natural setting, the church of St Pierre sur Doux opens its doors to you to admire its magnificent painted coffered ceiling. A remarkable achievement that seduces visitors.

The Romanesque church is characterized by its
painted wooden coffered ceiling. The coffered ceiling is in architecture a ceiling with regularly arranged compartments (usually in the form of an orthogonal grid).
It would seem that the church was not at the current location, but perhaps on the Perrier side or in the hamlet of La Grange.

The bell tower was built in 1714, and the large bell was bought in Lyon by 2 inhabitants. It is therefore a great human adventure.
The front door, lined with square-headed forged nails, was intended to protect access from the ax blows of invaders.
On the route of the Saint Régis pilgrimage, this stopover offers a relaxing and serene setting with a magnificent panorama.
