The Cité du Chocolat Valrhona is a rich and experiential place where chocolate is
reveal, share and enjoy! Visitors come to discover the
secrets of chocolate and enjoy this gourmet, educational stopover
and multi-sensory with, as a result, the promise of experiencing a moment of
indulgence with family or friends.
This year, a new space dedicated to the history of cocoa completes
the already existing scenography of the 1st floor with several interactive activities.
For its 10th anniversary, the City welcomes a mysterious ancient vase from Ecuador. This vase was
discovered during archaeological excavations and demonstrates the domestication of cocoa in the Amazon
Ecuadorian more than 5000 years BC. BC, and therefore predates the Maya.
The Cité du Chocolat Valrhona has a replica of the vase, authorized by the National Institute of Ecuadorian Heritage.
