Presentation

Exhibition of paintings by Jacques Barry, who has shown his work regularly in more than sixty personal exhibitions in France, Europe or the United States and more than fifty group exhibitions around the world.

Jacques Barry was born in 1943 in Limoges. In 1972, he was a professor at the Beaux-Arts in Saint-Etienne and remained so until June 2006. He currently lives and works in Paris and Saint-Etienne.
Internationally he has exhibited from Cairo to Tangier and Casablanca, from Los Angeles to Quebec, from Thessaloniki to Madrid, from Ouagadougou to Saint-Julien-Molin-Molette, from Paris to Vienna, from Dakar to Houston.
We could see his famous rhino at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium during the football World Cup in 1998, on an orientation table in Saint-Fons and on the posters of the Rive de Gier Jazz Festival, which was also since titled Rhino Jazz(s) Festival.
The area where Jacques Barry has disseminated his works is, so to speak, without limits, since three of his paintings have traveled, in space, with the French astronaut Michel Tognini, eighty times around the earth, in 1999 during the ninety-fifth mission of the Space Shuttle Columbia.
