Historical reenactment of the first hot air balloon flight

Step back in time by participating in the historical reenactment of the first hot air balloon flight on the Place des Cordeliers in Annonay and celebrate this historic date!

Since 1983, which marked the bicentenary of this discovery, a faithful and costumed reenactment has taken place every year in Annonay.
Organised by the association "Les Montgolfières d'Annonay", this event has now become a highlight of local life, and without a doubt, an event not to be missed!
A replica of the paper balloon, heated with straw, is set up in period costumes at the historic site of the first flight, namely the Place des Cordeliers, in the heart of Annonay.
