Conference - Ecology, how did we get here?

Taking stock of the ecological situation is essential but is not enough. We are up against the wall and we need to understand why. Beyond the origins of greenhouse gas emissions, it is the economic and political system that must be studied. This conference therefore offers you a history of capitalism and its progression to our current system: neoliberal productivism. This one is not
characterized only by the objective of unlimited growth but also by a method: that of the constant reduction of the role of the State, thus deprived of its capacity to bring about the ecological changes essential to our survival.
