Presentation

Camille Perret is a painter-illustrator from Annonay, based in Montpellier.

Camille Perret introduces herself:

“Always passionate about drawing, beautiful images and especially their stories, my work oscillates between universes which are closer to childhood being attracted by the imagination of tales, and other darker ones, where hybrid characters, assert an obvious sensuality.

This ambivalence that I deepen in my drawings is inspired by dreams. An enigmatic narrative that is both fantastic and disturbing, into which it is tempting to delve to gain meaning and beauty. My paintings and drawings are closely linked to writings, novels and poems.

This aspect is present in my notebooks, research, sketches which I also exhibit. They meet the final formats and complete my approach. »

Camille Perret is a painter-illustrator from Annonay, based in Montpellier.
I began my career at the Beaux-Arts in Nîmes, then at the Pivaut School of Applied Arts, where I specialized in illustration. It was in Nantes where I lived for 6 years that I began to expose.
I illustrated the short story The Spurs by Todd Robins, best known with the film Freaks in 1932, “His Majesty of the Flies” by Golding; both fable-like with strong morals. Or even “Mini western with ghosts” by Mathias Malzieu, lighter and more poetic.
