The Recatou

In an old 17th century stone farmhouse, completely renovated, on the sunny heights of a preserved valley, our warm, fully equipped accommodation awaits you. Le Récatou is a large, comfortable gîte with 14 beds. Swimming pool and sauna.

In the commune of Vanosc, 18 km from Annonay, the Chirol gîtes are located at an altitude of 870 m on the southern slope of the unspoiled Pinsole valley. They benefit from an exceptional setting: hiking trails and mountain biking paths are accessible on-site, with the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park to the south and the Pilat Regional Natural Park to the north. The Chirol site is an LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) refuge.

Le Récatou offers a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room, a dining room with a large table, 5 bedrooms (including 3 with a double bed that can be separated into 2 single beds), 3 shower rooms and 3 toilets, 2 sunny terraces facing East and West, one of which has a table and benches for dining and 2 gardens with armchairs and a hammock.

Beds made. Household linen provided (tea towels, bath mats). Towels extra.
Heated, secure, shared swimming pool (open from late May to late September). Sauna in a natural setting with magnificent views, available year-round (weather permitting, extra charge). Petanque court. Table tennis. Playground with swing set. Secure bicycle storage.
Possibility of a half-day or full-day donkey ride (at an additional cost).

The Le Récatou gîte shares this magnificent Chirol site with our house and 3 other accommodations: La Chirolaise (gîte for 10), the P'tit Chirol (gîte for 2) and a canvas lodge "Under the stars" for 5 /7. All these accommodations are independent and not adjoining.

Since the Chirol site is appreciated for its open spaces and tranquility, our guests are invited to enjoy the premises in this spirit.
