It is a charming fortified village dating back to the Middle Ages, built on a gently sloping hill at an altitude of 420 meters. The village boasts numerous local shops, including two restaurants.

Nearby attractions (2km) include the magnificent and renowned PEAUGRES SAFARI ZOO, and in Annonay itself, the parchment museum, the Canson paper museum, hot air balloon flights or bike rides on the Viafluvia (bike rental: "A nos vélos" in the town centre).

For swimming, the Aquavaure aquatic center in Annonay is 5 minutes away, offering several pools and outdoor areas. Fifteen minutes away is the Bourg Argental water park, with an outdoor pool, water slide, restaurant, and a natural setting – ideal for families.
