In 'Terpsicore, the queen of dance' Emanuele Soavi celebrates contemporary dance and baroque music. It explores the conflict between emotion and aesthetics with a touch of irony, sarcasm and a socially critical view.

The choreographer pays tribute to Marie Sallé, the first female choreographer of the 18th century who contributed significantly to freeing dance from the courtly social sphere, dominated by men, and to making it an independent performing art.

The public rehearsals, presented and hosted by Abou Lagraa and/or Nawal Aït Benalla, co-director of Cie La Baraka / La Chapelle, are an invitation to meet the dance and the artists who created it!
